College Football Playoff Semifinals and National Championship Dates Set
Semifinals to Be Held at Rose Bowl on January 1, 2024
The College Football Playoff (CFP) has announced the dates and locations for the 2023-24 Playoff Semifinals and National Championship. The Semifinals will be held on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
National Championship to Be Played on January 8, 2024
The National Championship Game will be played on Monday, January 8, 2024, at a site to be determined. The Rose Bowl, SoFi Stadium, and Levi's Stadium are all potential hosts for the Championship Game.
The CFP Selection Committee will announce the four teams that will participate in the Playoff on Sunday, December 3, 2023. The top four teams in the final CFP rankings will earn berths in the Playoff.
The 2023-24 CFP Semifinals will be the first to be played at the Rose Bowl since 2018. The Rose Bowl has hosted the CFP National Championship Game twice, in 2019 and 2021.
The 2024 National Championship Game will be the 18th edition of the College Football Playoff. The CFP was created in 2014 to replace the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) as the format for determining the national champion in college football.
